PECAA CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

Office Manager Certification Course (OMCC)

The first of its kind to feature education, testing, certification and continued enhancement and support, the Office Manager Certification Course (OMCC) is accredited by The University of Houston, College of Optometry. The program delivers critical information and training to ensure your practice excels through the efforts of your entire staff.

The OMCC is a 12-hour program that enables attendees to master the skills necessary to excel as an Office Manager in an Eye Care practice. The courses are taught via webinar and once attendees complete the program, they must pass a rigorous exam to ensure they have attained the skills required to receive the designation of ‘Certified Office Manager.’

Optometric Billing & Coding Certification Program (OBCCP)

The Optometric Billing & Coding Certification Program (OBCCP) is accredited by the Accreditation by the Higher Education Committee (AHEC). This is an exclusive program presented by PECAA, designed for eyecare professionals operating within the billing and coding capacity of the practice.

This comprehensive program will include in depth training and review of the following topics:

Optical Management Certification Course (OPTMC)

The Optical Management Certification Course is an exclusive 8-week program designed to provide ODs/MDs, opticians, optical staff and optical managers with the skills necessary to manage a successful and profitable optical. The program focuses on frame management, assortment management and building custom tools to take your optical to the next level. Attendees will:

  • Learn how to successfully manage an optical, including independent private practices, optical boutiques, separate optical dispensaries and luxury optical.
  • Develop the proficiencies necessary to run an optical, including different business models and how to apply and review metrics critical to success.
  • Learn how to identify what a buyer wants, set up selling strategies, create and maintain frame board management, as well as other important strategies necessary to run a successful and profitable optical.
